To mark its 30th anniversary, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal
has published a reference book on its feature performers.

The Festival decided to take its readers on a journey through time by way of pictures,
thanks to the work of seasoned photographers who, over the years, have built up
a wealth of outstanding images.
The shots featured in this book of ultra-contemporary design were taken both onstage
and backstage, and have rarely been published.
From Ray Charles to DJ Champion, by way of Aretha Franklin, Diana Krall, B.B. King,
Oscar Peterson, and Cirque du Soleil, dozens of international stars are shown with
intense emotion. The city of Montreal and its enthusiastic crowds of jazz and world
music fans provide an equally fascinating visual feast.
Never before has a book brought together so many great names from all continents
to celebrate the Montreal jazz experience with such powerful imagery.
