Set in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles in downtown Montréal, the Festival
International de Jazz de Montréal site occupies the quadrilateral area bordered
by St. Laurent Boulevard and De Bleury Street from east to west, and Ste. Catherine
Street and President-Kennedy Avenue from south to north. By virtue of their central
location amid the festivities, the Complexe Desjardins and Place des Arts are useful
landmarks.
With some streets closed to vehicle traffic and parking in the downtown core relatively
limited, people are encouraged to make their way to the Festival site on foot, by
taxi or by public transit.
Persons driving to the Festival are invited to check out MaPlace.ca for parking information and
our map of street closures to facilitate access to the site.
Bicycles, skateboards and in-line skates are also excellent means of transportation.
However, they are not permitted on-site for security reasons.

To meet growing demand, there are two free parking areas capable of handling more
than 350 bicycles. On-site staff will be pleased to answer your questions,
and a flat-tire repair kit complete with pump is also available. Cyclists using
these parking areas must provide their own locks.
The bicycle parking areas are conveniently located on the periphery of the Festival
International de Jazz de Montréal site:
- De Bleury Street, corner of De Maisonneuve Boulevard
- St. Laurent Boulevard, corner of De Maisonneuve Boulevard
The bicycle parking areas also include a pigeon-hole storage bin for skateboards.
Persons who use this service will be asked to fill out a form and provide proof
of identity (a valid driver’s licence or health insurance card).
The bicycle parking areas are open from 5 p.m. to midnight for the duration

- Getting around
-
Given the popularity of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, public transit
is the means of transportation most recommended. Located on the green line, the
Place-des-Arts metro station provides direct access to the site. People arriving
by metro are encouraged to use the Ste. Catherine Street or De Bleury Street exits.
Festival-goers arriving from the east or the west on foot may access the site from Jeanne-Mance
Street at the corner of Ste. Catherine Street.
The Place des Festivals includes the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal's
main stage. Special security corridors have been set up to make it easier for festival-goers
to leave the site, but not to access it. These “one-way” corridors provide access
to the Place-des-Arts metro station and to Ste. Catherine Street and De Bleury Street.
Loitering is prohibited in these corridors.
To enjoy the Festival to the fullest, we ask that people comply with the
regulations in force on the site.
Mobility-impaired persons may consult the adapted services
section for details on reserving a space in the reserved area.
