Cette rencontre déterminante marquera le commencement d’une fructueuse carrière qui connut son apothéose lorsqu’elle fonda un grand orchestre avec son mari, le flûtiste et saxo Lew Tabackin. Influencée à ses débuts par Bud Powell, elle tend aujourd’hui vers un style où énergie et nuances orientales se fondent en un mélange subtil.
