Whether it be with Sting or Miles Davis, the bass player Darryl Jones has never offered anything but excitement. And as far as inspiration goes, you can’t top keyboard player Mitchell Forman: during the 1980s, he completely reworked the techniques of Stan Getz and Gerry Mulligan, adding new effects to his own vibrant repertoire of sounds.
