SUMMARY:Branford Marsalis - Festival International de Jazz de Montréal
DESCRIPTION:BRANFORD MARSALIS \n\nFor a long time, it was difficult to completely dissociate Branford Marsalis from his celebrated brother, Wynton, in whose quintet he had worked for three years. The two brothers had also often performed with Art Blakey and Herbie Hancock’s famous V.S.O.P. II. But Branford is also the man who assisted Sting in the latter’s solo endeavors with jazz musicians. A saxophonist who has developed his own identity through his great versatility and masterful playing. This important visitor will be accompanied by two longtime collaborators: Kenny Kirkland and Jeff Watts. When one hails from New Orleans, and has a father named Ellis, one cannot escape from a musical destiny.
