SUMMARY:Chet Baker and Paul Bley - Festival International de Jazz de Montréal
DESCRIPTION:CHET BAKER AND PAUL BLEY\n\nThe unorthodox pianist and spokesman for the avant-garde, Paul Bley, appeared at the 1984 Montréal Festival in what turned out to be an enthusiastic homecoming. The great trumpet player Chet Baker is a true jazz survivor, whose music is first as timeless. The two musicians hadn’t played together since 1955. Their appearance on the same stage is indeed a rare event. The Festival’s idea for this double billing was inspired by the release of their duo album Diane.    \n\nhttp://www.montrealjazzfest.com/program/concert.aspx?id=7124\n
