DESCRIPTION:JJ GREY & MOFRO\n(Blues Wednesdays)\n\nWe discovered JJ Grey’s blazing Made-in-Florida Jookhouse blues-rock in 2009. Alternately steeped in deep soul and punched up with raw funk, his songs seem to roll right off a porch in the deep south. Mofro is his band, Orange Blossoms is the latest album, and together, their contagious R&B rhythms had us tapping our feet all night long to that sultry, swampy sound.
