DESCRIPTION:HARRY MANX ET MICHAEL KAESHAMMER\n\nBorn in the UK and now residing in Canada, Harry Manx, a Festival regular, has become a consummate world citizen by doing the European club circuit, playing in Japan and performing in Brazilian bars. Not to mention India, of course, where he discovered Mohan Veena, a 20-string guitar/sitar hybrid. Songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist, he adopted the instrument, creating highly original music from his folk/world/blues repertoire. As for Michael Kaeshammer, an extraordinary pianist of growing world fame, he adapts traditional jazz music, blues, beebop and above all, boogie woogie in a highly personal, inspired manner. Applying his genius to a virtually infinite variety of music styles and genres, it’s no surprise that this young German-born piano prodigy is reaping one prize and award after another.
