Bobby McFerrin VOCAbuLarieS

Bobby McFerrin is a genuine virtuso of the vocal cords. And when this artist is accompanied by a choir, the heavens themselves stop to listen! The a cappella pioneer returns to us with VOCAbuLarieS, an entirely new concept in vocal art ready to carry us away on wings of gospel, soul and funk… with, of course, Madame Improvisation as the guest of honour. For this special evening, he welcomes the incredible choir from the Collège Vocal de Laval, conducted by Roger Treece. An exceptionally intoxicating musical experience!

Lissa Albert
from Dollard-des-Ormeaux will attend this concert:

I first "discovered" Bobby McFerrin back when he was pre-"Don't Worry Be Happy"...a unique artist who took my breath away. I bought "Spontaneous Inventions", and then everything else he had recorded. I got to see him in Burlington, Vermont, and then here in Montreal. The night I was supposed to see him perform in 1993 at the Jazz Fest, I was admitted to the hospital to have my firstborn son. I gave the tickets to some dear friends who continue to thank me for introducing them to his music. Bobby is a force of energy, spirituality, and music that cannot be described, only experienced. This year, I will see him again, and am taking my 13-year-old son, a musician in his high school band on percussion and clarinet. I try to take him to at least 1 concert at the Festival a year..and this year I know will be a superb experience. I can't wait! Lissa Albert DDO, Quebec
