Over the past 18 months, Nikki Yanfosky has headlined at jazz festivals in Japan, Jamaica and throughout Canada, including a special outdoor concert for the 30th Anniversary of the Montreal International Jazz Festival this past July. She has also toured the U.S. with renowned composer-conductor Marvin Hamlisch, appearing with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C., as well as the symphonies in the Seattle, San Diego and Milwaukee. The highlight performances were in New York City - appearing with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall and the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center. In September 2008, she released the critically-acclaimed, live concert performance CD and DVD, Ella... of Thee I Swing, which earned her two Juno nominations in 2009: New Artist of the Year and Vocal Jazz Album of the Year, as well her being awarded Favourite Jazz Artist at the 2009 Canadian Independent Music Awards.
