The Heavy

They sing like Prince, sling guitar like the Stooges, prowl the raw side like Tom Waits. They love vintage R&B and Jim Jarmusch. They were cited among the great discoveries of 2008 by tastemakers everywhere, including Spin. Their sound is utterly singular, a rock-funk punched up with brassy soul and tough hip hop. Their music is said to raise the dead. They are English, and they are called The Heavy.
