John Butler

A star Down Undah and already tremendously popular in France, guitarist and singer-songwriter John Butler began his rise into the indie-folk-roots firmament right here in North America. A committed ecologist and stunning guitarist, Butler self-produces his albums on his own Jarrah Records. In his first Festival visit, he'll perform solo and duo - with percussionist Nicky Bomba - versions of songs from his upcoming album, and classics from his multiplatinum Australian releases, Grand National and Sunrise Over Sea.

Johanne Bougie
Johanne Bougie (Festival International de Jazz de Montréal)
This exceptional Australian guitarist marks his first visit to Montreal. With his catchy indie folk-roots songs from the albums "Grand National" and "Sun Rise Over Sea", Butler is well worth discovering.
