The founder of Effendi Records (celebrating its 10th anniversary this year) is not only a double bassist, but a composer and producer. The versatile Alain Bédard is a man of many projects, including Auguste, a first-rate quintet (with Frank Lozano, Jean-Christophe Béney, Alexandre Grogg and Pierre Tanguay) that's been on the scene for 15 years, and its highly-acclaimed Bluesy Lunedi album.
