B.B. King et Buddy Guy

The coming of B. B. King and Buddy Guy will mean a true summit, a staggering blues showdown that will take place in the Forum, specially converted for the occasion into a gigantic cabaret with a revolving central stage. King of the blues, the inexhaustible "Blues Boy" King has been touring all over the planet for nearly fifty years, singing the music of his native Mississippi with unsurpassed fervor. A fluid and stripped-down brand of playing was born from the neck of his guitar Lucille, one that has profoundly influenced several generations of bluesmen and rockers. If B.B. King is the best known blues musician in the world, Buddy Guy's popularity skyrocketed at the end of the eighties after the release of his album Damn Right I've Got the Blues. A dignified ambassador of Chicago blues for several decades, he's been praised by many a giant of the electric guitar, particularly by Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton. B.B. King and Buddy Guy will split the double bill before meeting on stage for a friendly confrontation that will figure prominently in Montréal's blues history. Sparks will fly!
