Le saxophone enflammé du David S. Ware Quartet

David S. Ware's explosive sax spews out a deluge of thunderous sounds that come close to the limits of the unbearable. He's the antithesis of the polite mild-mannered horn player, so the French have labelled him a precursor of the post-free style. This nonconformist is accompanied by drummer Whit Dickey, bassist William Parker and the excellent young pianist Mathew Shipp. Make sure you can take the heat!
