Joe Henderson Double Rainbow Quintet interprète la musique de Antonio Carlos Jobim

avec le guitariste Oscar Cartro-Nevés
The intensity of Sonny Rollins, the creativity of John Coltrane and the serene sonority of Stan Getz permeate tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson 's style. Made famous in 1965 by his inspired playing on Horace Silver's celebrated "Song for My Father", this tireless perfectionist continues his quest for the holy sound with an uncommon devotion. Six years ego, Joe Henderson opened the Festival's Charlie Haden series with drummer Al Foster, a few years before his tribute album to Billy Strayhorn launched him to where he should always have been: the very pinnacle of his profession. This universally praised saxophone giant now turns his attention to the repertory of a major proponent of the bossa nova, the late Antonio Carlos Jobim, with inspiration born of genius.
