Pierre Beluse Sextet

Pierre Béluse is one of the last representatives of an endangered species. He's been around Montreal jazz clubs since the glory days of the 19505, when his percussion accompanied the likes of Jackie McLean and Pepper Adams. Now head of the percussion department at McGill University, he's also the leader of a potent sextet that derives inspiration from the work of Art Blakey.

Nominated for the du Maurier Jazz Award and the Socan Bursary.
