Cuban-born saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera is pursuing a fabulous career. He imposed himself very early with his highly personal style, a mixture of Jazz and Classical legacies. Before leaving Cuba, he was a member of the Irakeré group, an explosive blend of Jazz, Rock Classical and traditional Cuban music. Afterwards, he embarked on a solo career in New York sponsored by the great Dizzy Gillepsie himself Since then, he is much sought after worldwide. An impressive Latin stylist, he masters a faultless technique. Paquito D'Rivera offers us a performance in which purety of sound vies with grandeur of performance.
