The Persuasions started as five boys singing a capella on street corners, schoolyards and in subway stations of Brooklyn in 1962. Shortly after listening to their tape, legendary musician Frank Zappa and his wife Gail signed the group to their label. Now a global phenomenon, The Persuasions have performed over the world and with such diverse artists as Stevie Wonder, Bette Midler, Joni Mitchell, Liza Minelli, Van Morrison, Lou Reed, B.B. King and Paul Simon. Presented in collaboration with Pop Montréal.
