Scottish-born but utterly “New York,” David Byrne succeeds at everything he touches… and he touches everything: “eclectic” was practically coined to describe him! We know him best as the co-founder (and singer-guitarist) of New Wave legends Talking Heads. However, he’s distinguished himself with music for films (such as The Last Emperor), ballet and opera scores, as an actor, screenwriter, director, photographer, and as founder of worldbeat label Luaka Bop. Have we mentioned his brilliant solo career, or his collaborations as singer, musician and producer, with the likes of Selena, the B-52s and Fatboy Slim? He brings that resume to us tonight, for a performance featuring his own classics and pieces by his friend, a certain Brian Eno.
