Yelen

Yelen, meaning "light", is the stage name of Laye Diakité, a native of the Ivory Coast who at an early age discovered in reggae the music that best expressed his idealism. And he got good enough in that both the Wailers and the Fully Band joined him on the album Racism two years ago. The philosophy is a multilingual plea for tolerance and peace, and the musical formula is a reggae base with elements of jazz, blues and Latin — everything anyone could ask far.
