The show originally planned in Théâtre Jean-Duceppe is relocated in Cinquième Salle. Ticket holders must exchange their seats the night of the performance at the Place des Arts box office.
On one side, pianist Randy Weston, devotee of Thelonious Monk and lover of African and Cuban rhythms. On the other, saxophonist Billy Harper, who played and toured with Max Roach, Gil Evans and Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. Two virtuosi in full flight, whom some may have caught in action together at the Festival in… 1990! The two legends return to showcase the fruits of their first duo recording, The Roots of the Blues. A rare opportunity!
