It’s two major American artists making debut visits to the Festival! First, welcome Texas singer-songwriter and alt-country cult legend Lyle Lovett, whose droll, mordant, insightful music has ranged brilliantly through western swing, folk and jazz since the ’80s. He’ll canter through his eclectic repertoire with an acoustic combo. Then, rock-crooner Chris Isaak, descendent of Roy Orbison and Elvis?to whom he paid tribute on the 2011 album Beyond the Sun?unwinds an impressive set of moody blue miracles, including the essential Blue Hotel and Wicked Game. A double bill from Americana heaven!
