SMV — Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten

The SMV trio? It's the Holy Trinity of bass! The epic Stanley Clarke, living legend of the four-string axe, needs no introduction. Victor Wooten, member of Béla Fleck's Flecktones, is a high-octane soloist and respected composer. Marcus Miller, who came to fame alongside Miles Davis, has established himself as one of the most gifted jazzmen of his generation. Now imagine these three exalted figures on the same stage. It's a stringed trip to 7th heaven...

Marc-André Sarault
Marc-André Sarault (Festival International de Jazz de Montréal)
Wow! Three of the most talented bassists on the planet assemble for a concert. You don’t have to be a bass fanatic to appreciate the musicianship of these three stars, whose discographies, both together and apart, stretch into infinity. Undeniably entertaining and unique.
André Ménard
André Ménard (Festival International de Jazz de Montréal)
He is the inventor of the electric bass in modern jazz and all the other greats, like Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten, bow down before him. With a guest roster including those two (Saturday 30th), Hiromi (Tuesday 28th), the Harlem String Quartet (Friday 29th) or his own band (Sunday 1st), I wouldn’t dare miss a single show in this series.
