Clara Furey

The Théâtre de Quat’Sous gave her carte blanche last autumn for a series of 3 concerts (her first)… and she left with critics singing her praises. When you’re the daughter of Carole Laure and Lewis Furey, it’s no surprise that the talent fairy blessed you with an extra special something! Drawing inspiration from Tori Amos, Nina Simone and Björk, the elusive dancer and classically-trained pianist brings us a very theatrical music—the sound of a unique and complete artist.

Laurent Saulnier (Festival International de Jazz de Montréal)
In recent years, Clara Furey has been noticed for her talents as a dancer and actor. But music remains her first love. After playing to enthusiastic full houses at the Théâtre de Quat’Sous for five nights running, she now performs in the intimate confines of the Musée d’art contemporain, making her first Festival appearance. And you can bet that it won’t be her last…
