The Jolly Boys - Show canceled

Well, can you name any other group that has existed for 60 years? Get ready for the Jolly Boys, who’ve caused a sensation across Europe and anywhere else they perform. This little group of octogenarians visited us in 2003—unleashing a century’s worth of musical joy!—and they’re back with the perfectly-entitled Great Expectations, consisting exclusively of covers: The Doors, Lou Reed, The Clash, Iggy Pop, Amy Winehouse… Contemporary pop meets Jamaican mento, and the result: genius!

The return of the pioneers of Jamaican mento. Their presence on an outdoor stage at the 2003 Festival blew us away! We’re thrilled to have them back with "Great Expectation", a disc of covers of rock classics, performed mento-style, including "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed, "Riders on the Storm" by The Doors and "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse.
