The Festival marks the 10th anniversary of the death of Fela Kuti, father of Afrobeat – and his son, Femi Kuti, does the honours. A worthy successor, Femi is an artist engagé and an incandescent showman. Brooklyn’s Antibalas will start the evening. They have been spreading the Afrobeat message to a new generation of fans since 1998. With their new album Security, they remain as bullet-proof as ever.
