The Discothèque concert-event invites Festival fans to 90 minutes of 100% Canadian dance music. And rest assured, there are tons! Funky Town, 1990, Steal My Sunshine, Sorry, Danser, Can’t Feel My Face, People Gotta Move, No Heaven, and the list goes on… The Place des Festivals will be transformed into an immense dancefloor under the Montreal stars, immersing everyone in a madcap musical bash. At 9:30 p.m., Festival fans can expect a non-stop succession of irresistible hits pumping from the TD Stage, getting body and soul moving in tune as the sweet summer temperature soars!
Canadian artists get the Place des Festivals dancing!
Carly Rae Jepsen — THE Canadian pop revelation of recent years, the gal behind the immense smash Call Me Maybe and three-time Juno winner, rolls out her irresistible hits.
Men Without Hats — The pioneers of Canadian electropop, responsible for timeless global 1983 super-smash Safety Dance, touch down with their synths, samples and the incomparable baritone of Ivan Doroschuk!
Radio Radio — A duo renowned for their explosive fiestas, wild rhythms and hip-hop tinged with eclectic electronica: a magical party potion.
Muzion — The triumphant return of iconic Montreal hip-hop group Muzion, pioneers of Québécois rap, starring Dramatik Imposs and J.Kyll!
Buffalo Hat Singers — Singer-percussionists Buffalo Hat Singers immerse the audience in a contemporary Pow-Wow with their intoxicating fusion of traditional native song and dance music.
And that’s not all! The undisputed Montreal party master, DJ Champion, will take the stage accompanied my a musical armada: 24 musicians including horn and string sections, percussion and keyboards, and singers Alan Prater (The Brooks), Gardy Fury, Rémi Chassé, Marie-Christine Depestre and Stéphanie Bédard. Add in 35 dancers, wild visual projections, an electrifying repertoire and, to blow it all up, an incredible closing fireworks display set to Wow by André Gagnon… On you mark… Get set… Party!
This will be an unforgettable Montreal musical moment, with three watchwords: Dance, Fun, Party!
