Guitarist Sylvain Provost made his first appearance at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal back in 1981, at the age of 21. Since then, he has been performing live across Canada on a regular basis. Over the years, Provost has played and recorded with the likes of Gerry Boulet, Oliver Jones, Yannick Rieu, Jean Pierre Zanella, Térez Montcalm, Karen Young, and Sylvain Lelièvre. Several of his recordings and concerts have been recognized at the Prix Opus as well as the ADISQ (Quebec Association of Recording, Performance, and Video).
