Self-taught musician Stéphane Tellier is widely recognized as one of Quebec's finest Gypsy jazz guitarists. In Montréal, Tellier first got noticed as lead guitarist for local bands Blues Gitan and Rouge Tzigane, and later with Benoît Charest, in the Triplettes of Belleville 2004 tour. As a composer, Tellier scored the soundtracks to Sébastien Patenaude's Tiens ferme in 2007 and Hejer Charf's Les passeurs in 2003. After various collaborations with such artists as Lara Fabian, Kevin Parent or Tricot machine, Stéphane Tellier released his first, eponymous album of original compositions in 2010.
