Born in Vermont to an American mother and a Quebecois father, Mike Goudreau was steeped in music from an early age. At 14 years old, he took to the guitar and developed a taste for blues and jazz. In the early 1990s, he formed the Boppin Blues Band, which became a success on the Canadian music scene. In 2001, taking advantage of a scholarship from the Conseil des arts du Quebec, Goudreau released the French album Nous avions rendez-vous. In 2009, the singer, guitarist, arranger and producer came to the Festival to perform work from his album Blues Et Cetera. He came back the following year with Looking for the Sunshine. 2012's saw the release of the anniversary album 20 Years of Bop & Blues.
