A well-traveled musician, Dusseldorf native Yeshe set out to discover the world when he was 17. Having sojourned in Europe, Africa, America and Asia, he settled in Australia in the mid-1990s. The versatile player learned the guitar, cello and drums before trying his hand at two traditional African instruments, the mbira and n'goni. Mentored by ethnomusicologist and drummer Mustapha Teddey Addy as well as reggae singer Tefo Hlaede, Yeshe was also deeply influenced by multi-instrumentalist Harry Manx. His first album Citizen, came out in 2005. Follow-up Roots & Wings came out in 2011.
