English post-jazz outfit Get the Blessing came together in 2000 when Portishead alumni Clive Deamer (drums) and Jim Barr (bass) enlisted the services of Jake McMurchie (saxophone) and Peter Judge (trumpet). Sharing a love for improvised music and the work of free-jazz legend Ornette Coleman, the quartet also draws inspiration from rock, punk and avant-garde music. Their first album All Is Yes was released in 2008, followed by Bugs in Amber the next year. OCDC came out in early 2012, and Lope and Antilope in 2014.
