Originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick, guitarist and singer Ross Neilsen is no stranger to hard work when it comes to making music. Accompanied by his ever-loyal Sufferin' Bastards, this tireless bluesman has been known to drive thousands of kilometres to bring his music to audiences spread across Canada. His debut album, Where I'm From, was released in 2005, followed by Early Grave, in 2007, and Alone Vol. 1 and What You need Vol.1 in 2009. That same year, Neilsen and acolytes Shawn Worden (bass) and Karl Gans (drums) recorded Redemption at the famous Zebra Ranch studio in Mississippi. In 2010, he was named Revelation of the Year at the Maple Blues Awards.
