Alexandre Côté received his Bachelor of Jazz Performance, graduating with honours, as well as his Masters, from McGill University. Among the jazz ensembles he has performed with are Guy Nadon et le Band du roi du drum, the Bernard Primeau Jazz Ensemble, Effendi Jazzlab and the Vic Vogel Big Band, while the pop artists he has accompanied include Steffie Shock, France D'Amour, and Michel Pagliaro. He has studied with Chris Potter, Pat LaBarbera and Donny McCaslin, taken part in the Banff International Jazz Workshop, and in 2004, represented CBC/Radio-Canada in the European Broadcast Orchestra, in Switzerland. He has recorded over 30 albums, either as sideman or as leader. In addition to performing, he teaches jazz saxophone at the Cégep de Saint-Laurent. In 2011, Côté took home the TD Grand Jazz Award and released a new album, Transitions.
