Conor Gains
Origin: Ontario, Canada
Genre: Blues
Conor Gains first picked up his father's acoustic guitar at eight years old, and began to immerse himself in his dad's record collection, listening to Eric Clapton, Alvin Lee, Jeff Beck, among others. At 12, he began performing at blues jams in his home town of Cambridge, Ontario and was soon invited by seasoned musicians to make guest appearances on stage. In 2007, at age 14, Conor made a trio to Nashville and Memphis, where he played with the B.B. King All-Stars. The following year he was invited by guitar legend Les Paul to join him on stage at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York City. He has also played Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern, with band mates Vic Freitas (drums) and Jeremy Patey (bass), and has begun to write and perform original material.
