The daughter of singer Dee Dee Bridgewater and producer Gilbert Moses, China Moses released her debut single in 1996. A first album, China, came out the following year. The discs On tourne en rond (2000) and Good Lovin' (2004) flirted with contemporary R&B and rap. Parallel to her career as a singer and back-up singer, she worked as a host at Radio Nova and at MTV, in France. In 2006, she met pianist Raphaël Lemonnier. The two musicians were involved in Gardenias for Dinah, a tribute performance for the great singer Dinah Washington. Subsequently, they released This One's for Dinah (2009), on which Moses, accompanied up by Lemonnier, performs several timeless numbers, such as Blue Gardenia and Mad About the Boy.
