Montréal-born Caroline Planté began studying flamenco guitar at the age of seven. Her first teacher was her father Marcel, known as "El Rubio". Benefitting from one bursary after another, she made a number of trips to Seville and Madrid to perfect her art. The soloist, composer and performer has taken part in several high-level shows in Canada, the United States and Spain. Named musical director and guitarist with the Madrid troupe Cruceta Flamenco in 2005, she worked on two major productions, Othello and En rojo, in 2006, and Invernadero-8reflexiones in 2008. Released two years later, her first album, 8REFLEXIONES, featured the singers Duquende and Rafael Jiménez Falo.
