Born to an English mother and Italian father, singer-songwriter Piers Faccini moved to France with his parents at the age of five, and returned to study at Eton's King's College, a private school for boys, in 1997. After co-founding the London-based acoustic group Charley Marlowe with spoken word artist Francesca Beard, Faccini embarked on a solo career in 2001, releasing his first album Leave No Trace in 2004, followed by Tearing Sky, in 2006, with guest vocalist Ben Harper. The versatile artist has also composed various themes and soundtracks for the BBC and Channel 4, and is an accomplished painter. In 2011, Piers Faccini released My Wilderness, his fourth album.
