Miodrag Žerdoner

1985 -

Origin: Yugoslavia

Main instrument: Acoustic guitar/electric guitar

Genre: Classical Music

Born into a family of musicians in Sarajevo, guitarist Miodrag Žerdoner learned to play the guitar at 7 from his father Zdarvko, and pursued his academic studies at the now war-damaged primary music school of Ilidza. In 2001, Žerdoner and his family fled their country to start a new life in the province of Quebec. Only a year later, the young guitar virtuoso was enrolled in the Conservatoire de musique de Québec, graduating from his Masters with high honours in 2007. During his studies at the conservatory, Žerdoner performed with various orchestras, including the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre du Conservatoire de musique du Québec. In 2009, the artist released his first album, Elogio de la guitarra, recorded in the historical church of Ste-Angèle-de-Mérici, Quebec.
