Acoustic guitar/electric guitar
Winnipeg-born guitarist Keith Price picked up his grandfather's guitar in sixth grade and only a few years later was playing professionally, at age 15. After a period of listening to punk and rock, Price discovered the music of John Coltrane, whose music inspired him to pursue jazz studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, and later, the University of Manitoba. Leading up to his debut release Breakfast of Champions in 2009, the young guitarist performed namely with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra and the Ron Paley Big Band. A second, acoustic album is expected for 2010.
