After CEGEP studies in classical piano, she discovered jazz music while playing in the rhythm section of Université de Montréal's big band orchestra. In 1984, she won the Étoiles Du Maurier competition, after performing two of her own compositions in front of an audience at Radio-Canada. Two years later, she sang in the acclaimed opera musical Starmania, paving the way to a successful entertainment career spanning nearly 20 years of singing, touring and television work. In 2009, she released her début CD, Blue Mind, with the help of veteran musicians Normand Guilbault (double bass) and Paul Brochu (drums).
