Crystal Monee Hall
Origin: United States
Genres: Blues, R&B/Soul/Funk
Richmond-born Crystal Monee Hall was exposed to music early on as a child, singing in church choirs with her mother throughout her youth, and later on participating in various high school musicals, her strong talents usually landing her starring roles. With a Masters in Education, she remained heavily involved in music in between classes, whether crafting songs or directing her college's choir. The young vocalist then focused her career on performing, touring with the Broadway sensation RENT, before picking up a guitar and discovering her own hidden talent as a songwriter. Her work and vocals have since been performed and heard in a variety of projects and collaborations, including the acclaimed post-Katrina 2009 documentary After the Storm.
