A prominent figure of the French jazz club scene since her arrival in Paris in 1995, vocalist and singer-songwriter Youn Sun Nah is one of today's most celebrated jazz artists. Born into a musical family in Seoul in 1969, to a conductor father and singing mother, the young artist enjoyed a distinguished musical career in her homeland before her move to la Ville Lumière. There, she attended the jazz and contemporary music school of Le CIM and the National Music Institute of Beauvais. Discovering her true passion and talent for jazz, she formed the Youn Sun Nah Quintet in 1996 and released her first album, Reflet, in 2001. For her contributions to France's jazz community, she was made Chevalier des arts et des lettres in 2009, and the same year released her sixth album, Voyages. Same Girl came out in 2010, followed by Lento three years later.
