After a brief international tour with Bobbi Humphrey in 1976, Lewis moved back to NYC and quickly blossomed into one of the city's most in-demand session drummers. Throughout his career, Lewis has played, recorded and collaborated with over 200 artists. The original drummer for Vernon Reid's Living Colour, Lewis was also co-leader of the trio Harriet Tubman in the late 1990s, with guitarist Brandon Ross. In 2010, he took part in the Bitches Brew Revisited project.
