Montréal-born multi-instrumentalist and producer David Brunet grew up in Quebec's Joliette region. In the early 2000s, the musician made a name for himself thanks to his collaborations with such renowned Quebec artists as Daniel Boucher and Yann Perreau, later reinforcing a solid reputation as producer/arranger thanks to his work with Coeur de pirate and Tricot machine. In 2008, with the help of 15 musician friends, namely drummer Simon Blouin, trombonist Benoit Paradis and bassist Richard Deschênes, he released Antonio, a long-time project involving his own atmospheric instrumental compositions fit for a movie soundtrack. Two years later, he came back with Antonio 2, an acclaimed sophomore effort, guided by an intense horn section and chorus. In 2015, he produced Antonio 3.
