Renowned multimedia creator Laurie Anderson is a prolific visual and performance artist, vocalist, composer, instrumentalist, writer, photographer and film director. She emerged from the New York City avant-garde in the early 1980s thanks to the unexpected success of her recording, O Superman. Since then, she has undertaken a score of ambitious ventures, often making the most of cutting edge technological tools. In 2002, Anderson had the privilege of becoming the first artist in-residence at NASA. Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with like-minded artists such as Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Bill Laswell and Lou Reed. In 2010, Anderson unveiled new project Delusion as part of the Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad.
