The son of folk musicians Penny Lang and Dave Van Ronk, Jason Lang spent a decade supporting Quebec music elite such as The McGarrigle Sisters, Roch Voisine and France D'Amour, along with international acts Simply Red and Whitney Houston, before branching out on his own in 2008 with Beautiful Disguise. The debut album, which the singer-songwriter also produced, showcases his own compositions and a quirky selection of covers - Roxanne (The Police), With A Little Help From My Friends (The Beatles) and I Want You Back (Jackson Five) - in his unmistakable "bourbon and molasses" voice.
