Random Recipe

Origin: Quebec, Canada

Genre: Hip-hop

Hailed as one of Montreal's up-and-coming bands, Random Recipe grew out of a friendship between singer/guitarist Frannie and beat-boxer/rapper Fab. The duo began freestyling in the streets for fun, but after a fateful performance at "Maudit Rap," a monthly open mic event, it became an official act. Mixing unconventional musical sources (such as a toy guitar with beat-box improvisations), the group, rounded-out by Vincent Legault and Liu-Kong Ha, creates a tasty concoction of hip hop. In the spring of 2010, Random Recipe released the single Shipwreck, off Fold It! Mold It!, their first album slated for a September release on Bonsound Records. Kill the Hook followed three years later.
