An enthusiastic and active music collaborator, Vincent Gagnon is in demand on his home turf as well as further afield. The Quebecois jazz pianist has appeared on stages from New York to Haiti, delivering subtle performances alongside the likes of saxophonist Rich Perry and vocalist Vincent Wolfe. In the Fall of 2009, he released Bleu cendre, featuring an original repertoire of acoustic jazz and swing marked by Gagnon's distinctive creative improvisation and simple melodies. The artist who was awarded the Galaxie Rising Star Award at the 30th edition of the Festival came back in 2012 with Himalaya, hissecond album as a leader.
